Permanent laser hair removal is revolutionising the aesthetic landscape in Mauritius

In the vast world of beauty treatments, permanent laser hair removal is a revolutionary breakthrough. In Mauritius, this aesthetic technology is taking on a new dimension with the advent of a laser that is unique in the Indian Ocean. Capable of removing dark hair on dark skin and light hair on light skin, this device represents a major breakthrough in the field of hair removal. Thanks to its unique and innovative technology, it offers the advantage of a painless procedure, with no burns and no risk of hyperpigmentation, thus meeting the needs and expectations of Mauritian patients.

Laser hair removal has long been acclaimed for its ability to deliver long-lasting, effective results. However, one of the main limitations was its ability to treat different skin and hair types. With the introduction of this revolutionary laser in Mauritius, this barrier has now been lifted. Whether it’s dark hairs on dark skin or light hairs on light skin, this laser can target them with unrivalled precision.

One of the most attractive aspects of this technology is its non-invasive approach. Unlike other hair removal methods, such as electrolysis or waxing, which can be painful and uncomfortable, laser treatment is virtually painless. As a result, patients benefit from a more pleasant and less stressful experience, which helps to increase their overall satisfaction.

How does a treatment work?

Before any session, you will be given an initial assessment by our therapist to determine the quantity and quality of your hair, the number of areas to be treated, the quality of your skin and whether or not there are any contraindications…. This session is important to ensure that you are fully informed about how the sessions will run and how your expectations will be met. In certain unusual or difficult situations, our doctor will also give you a moment.

– The first 3 sessions are 2 weeks apart, then depending on regrowth. About ten sessions may be necessary.

– Our laser can treat all types of skin and hair. However, light and red hairs should be given a trial session on a small area of the skin, due to the complexity of hair removal. White hairs do not respond to treatment.

– The use of cosmetic products and deodorants in the area to be treated 24 hours before the session is FORBIDDEN.

– Pregnancy and lactation are not recommended.

– The patient must be free of acute infectious diseases.

– Diabetes mellitus (blood sugar levels in excess of 10 mmol/l) is a contraindication.

– Chronic skin diseases in a period of exacerbation, and in particular psoriasis (in a progressive stage) cannot be treated, nor can inflammation in the area to be treated.

– No use of Roaccutane (for up to 10 months after it has been discontinued) to avoid the risk of keloids.

– Hair removal around neoformations, pigmented nevi or tattoos is prohibited.

– Predisposition to keloid scarring is a contraindication.

On average, 8 to 10 treatment sessions are needed to achieve permanent hair reduction. Une fois le traitement terminé, jusqu’à 95% des patients constatent une diminution significative, voire une disparition complète, de la pilosité non désirée.

In conclusion, the permanent laser hair removal in Mauritius represents a major advance in the field of aesthetics. Thanks to a laser that is unique in the Indian Ocean, patients now have access to a safe, effective and personalised solution to get rid of unwanted hair. With its undeniable advantages in terms of comfort, safety and durability, this aesthetic technology promises to redefine standards of beauty and well-being in Mauritius and beyond.
